No root, no fruit, Lauba Art House, Jun. 2015

“No root, no fruit” was a social experiment more than a performance art or an exhibition itself. And it was a successful one. Curators and art professionals felt called out questioning the borders of art.

“By associating myself with a performer known as a ‘commercial’ (meaning successful) I crossed that art world border in their mind. They’ve missed the mark as I expected they would. I asked the question about limitations of art. Are they real or do they only serve the few? Was it a provocation? No, I only stated the facts of closed minded socio artistic bubble I worked in. It was a proof of fake and endangered art scene that enclosed the nature of professionals and their personal broadness and inability to grow. Hypocrisy, at its best. Or worst.” OKO
